Whipped for Whip It!

I lurve Whip It! Like luuuuuuurve!

It's the kind of movie I could see again and again and again! From the second that Ellen Page's indie-misfit character Bliss Cavender sets foot in her Barbie rollerskates, the film was an insta-fave. Romantic, heartfelt, sweet and hysterical, Ellen's joined by Alia Shawkat and Drew Barrymore as well as hot newbie Landon Pigg as she finds an escape from her strangling little Texas town through Roller Derby. Not only was the story inspiring as we see Bliss come out of her shell and become confident, sassy, and classy, but man, oh man, it really made me wanna roller skate again!

ACUVUE let me and a friend check out the flick last week and we both got a chance to see a pair of real roller derby roller skates. I was so bummed we couldn't try them on ?they were part of the flower arrangements! Totally inspired, I found these little pink ladies online!

These beauts are now at the top of my shopping list (and maybe they'll make their way into my Halloween Costume)! Are you into skating!? Are your friends?! Let's bring it back!
