Style Guy'd with Colin Egglesfield!
Colin Egglesfield is our fave guy-next-door on Melrose. With his tall, dark, and handsome looks and his "killer" instincts in the kitchen, we've found our latest TV obsession. And guess what, girls! Read on to find out how he got interested in being a well-dressed guy and what he is so over in his girlfriends' closets!
What trends are you into right now?
I definitely used to do quite a bit of modeling when I first started out in this whole entertainment thing and having worked with some of the top designers in the world doing fashion shows with Georgio Armani and Versace and Dolce and Gabbana and all those guys, I picked up some style sense. I'm definitely into suits that fit well. The one thing that I think growing up, I never really knew how clothes were supposed to fit or what was really appropriate for different times, like wearing hiking boots to weddings. Once I went to Europe and just saw how Europeans generally dress, with a nice suit that fits well and then coming back here and seeing sleeves down at their fingertips and shoulders are always way off to the side. I just think a well fitting suit makes all the difference. And it's been cool being out here and being on the show because getting to work with some of the best stylists, they always pull some of the greatest clothes out there and it's one of those things where I went to Europe and was doing a fashion show where they just put a suit on you that actually fits well, and you feel like a different person.
What trend are you so over on girls right now?
I don't like the big platform shoes that girls wear. I guess I'm more of an old fashioned kind of guy. I definitely like heels on a girl but those big platform things I'm not a big fan of. I'm not a big fan of bell bottom-y jeans or pants. I like jeans on a girl that are pretty tight fitting to the ankle that reveal their figures -- that's what I think is quite flattering.
