Red Carpet Makeup Secrets!

Red Carpet Makeup

At a recent Victoria's Secret Beauty event, make-up experts revealed the answers to pressing questions like -- how in the heck do celebs get their make-up to stay put over the course of several hours?!? Linda Hay, Heidi Klum's Victoria's Secret make-up artist, gave us the scoop:

"Start with an oil-free moisturizer so you don't get too shiny as the night wears on. To make your eye make-up last, make sure you apply liner and shadow after you've prepared the eye with a light touch of concealer and powder so the color will set and adhere longer. When you're at the event, make sure to check your make-up every hour. If you have limited room in your evening bag, take blotting sheets, a powder compact with mirror, a small blush brush to apply powder, and your lip gloss or lipstick of choice."

Nice! The next time I have a big event to go to, I'm definitely gonna keep Linda's tips in mind. Especially the eye make-up bit -- who knew that a touch of concealer and powder could extend the life of your shadow and liner??
