Dominique Tells All!

 width=

Congrats, Dominique! If you didn't already know, Dominique took home the gold on Modelville, a Top Model spin-off that ran as a segment on Tyra. She had tough competition (Lauren, Renee, Fatima, and Bianca), but she rocked it on the runway and snagged a $50,000 contract with Carol's Daughter. Obviously, we're fascinated by models, but we especially admire the levelheaded ones who can keep their cool -- even in a house with a bunch of pretty competitors! Keep reading to find out Dom's thoughts on Tyra, the dish on the other girls, and the deets on a special gift swap event, from Carol's Daughter!

What's your beauty must have?
A great lip gloss. Even when I don't have time to do a full face of makeup (especially when I'm traveling), I can at least slick on a pretty shade that will last all day like Carol's Daughter Candy Paint in This is Me.

What's your favorite Carol's Daughter product and why?
Carol's Daughter Lemon Ginger Mint Manicure in a jar -- it keeps my hands soft and smooth, which is so important in this business when I am constantly meeting new people and shaking a lot of hands!

What's your every day style like?
I always stay true to myself when I put together an outfit. I also love to mix and match different styles and designers to create my own individual look.

What was your favorite challenge on Modelville?
The challenge of writing and producing my own commercial was really scary at first but I ended up discovering something I truly love to do and would be interested in pursuing.

What's it like living with so many girls in one house?
Overwhelming but a lot of fun!

What's Tyra like?
She is like a big sister to me. She is so supportive and has taught me so much about this industry.

As the new face of Carol's Daughter, what do you plan to bring to the role of spokesmodel?
As the new spokesmodel for Carol's Daughter, I look forward to setting a positive example for women everywhere, letting them know that you can achieve anything if you work hard, stay positive, and follow your passions.

How do you personally identify with the Carol's Daughter brand and product?
Carol's Daughter has always spoken to me because of Lisa Price's inspiring story. Being a model and having to work my way to the top, I can really relate to her drive and struggle to turn her dreams into a reality.

What's your favorite thing about modeling?
I love to dress up and change my look. I also love being able to be adventurous with my looks.

What's one thing about modeling that surprised you? That you didn't expect?
I knew it was going to be a lot of work, but Tyra showed me just how much work it is. So much goes into getting that final glamorous shot.

If you weren't modeling what would you want to do?
I've always been interested in real estate and I also wanted to study law.

What would you say to girls who want to be models but don't know where to start? Any advice?
It's important to do extensive research. Go through magazines and learn about the designers, photographers, and stylists for fashion spreads and ads that you like. That is how I have been able to work with so many amazing and talented people in this industry. Doing research is key.

If you're really picky about your gifts, don't fret, girls! Carol's Daughter is hosting a gift swap at their stores where you can swap your not-so-hot products for better ones of your choice! Click here for info!
